AN INAUGURAL SPEECH BY THE SECRETARY,ENUGU STATE ASSOCIATION,CHINA.

ON THE INAUGURATION OF ENUGU STATE FOOTBALL CLUB ,11TH DAY OF JULY , 2012 .

COAL CITY ! COAL CITY !! COAL CITY !!!
It is with sentiment of joy,we heartily welcome you all to this epoch making event in the life of our great association . Going by the history of football , there has not been any game that enjoys such great acceptance world over . And a search down the centuries reveals that football game took it’s origin from England in 1863 . The very earliest form of the game for the game for which there is scientific evidence was an exercise from a military manual dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC in China . Football as a game caught the interest of major populace of the world , and so grew from strength to strength . And thus became the world’s most unifying game , with the first world Cup held in 1930 .


The leadership of this great association in deep quest for peace , unity and progress of our members and society at large ,found solution in the formation of Enugu State football club to quench this quest.Therefore,in acceptance,appreciation and utmost utilization of The loaded packages offered by this sublime game ; The Enugu State Association , China deemed it highly important to inaugurate her own football club today . The formation , apart from diverse objectives , aims at using this medium to bring together as well as unite our brothers in this land, so as to help and stabilize each other in different spheres of life .


It is therefore , a call to discussion table in order to reason together . It is a call to come and know and meet your brother . It is a call to come and build your brother . It is a call to come and help and be helped by your brother .To be insincere to oneself is the greatest sin one can commit,we as association shall be ingrate if we fail to appreciate the efforts of all the members of our association and friends for our collective efforts to make today's event a reality especially,our honorable Chairman;Bro Jude Izu(Igwe Sampa).


This football club we are inaugurating today is his brain child.the achievements and pragmatic expertise we experience since the inception of his leadership demonstrates the sublimity of his leadership acumen.We thank our immediate passed Chairman,Bro Ken Onah for his fraternal care in this association.He has been the shock absorber of our great association which has helped so much in keeping this association together and lively.we appreciate the efforts of both the present and past executives for their unquantifiable sacrifices which have helped to bring our association to this wonderful level we are.


The support and care we often receive from the President of Nigeria Community,China;Mr Osy Ojukwu can never go unappreciated.He is like a sponsor,a patron and a father to us because he pays particular attention to us in times of needs and trials.we cannot mention all who helps us in one way or the other,but the allegiance we enjoy from our different local governments/communities' leaders and members,as well.In unity we stand!We say;BRAVO to all.


Finally , we use this opportunity to invite our brothers who are not yet members to come and register and for those members who are not active , to sit up because our association has gone great for greater future so as to be able to enjoy the loaded benefits of membership . Then , to our distinguished guests and friends of Enugu State in China , we Thank you for coming to grace and witness this great occasion , as we ask you to relax and feed both your eyes and body with the kick off game and light refreshments . However , we shall appreciate in no little manner , any gesture of advice , support or suggestion of any kind.
