A Lagos-based Indian businessman was found dead in a hotel room in Kano at weekend. The deceased, Mr Kiran Thakurdas Mordani, was in the state for a 2-day assignment, before his mysterious death at Spice Food hotel, located along Magajin Rumfa Road, in Kano metropolis.

Sunday Trust gathered that Mr Thakurdas was based in Kano for 11 years before relocating his business to Lagos. It was further gathered that he retired to his hotel room on Thursday night and directed his brother’s driver, who was attached to him during his stay, to pick him the next morning to take him to the airport.

But when the driver reported around 6 am as directed, our reporter learnt, he knocked severally on the deceased’s door with no answer, a development that made him to intimate Mr Thakurdas’ brother, who in turn was said to have attempted to contact him on phone but got no answer.
