Wife uses juju to render hubby sexually impotent

A Budiriro man has been hauled before the courts facing allegations of assaulting his wife whom he accuses of bewitching him and rendering his 'sexual device' impotent.

Tichaona Musavengana (27) of House No. 1840 in Budiriro 1 assaulted his wife Beauty Mapfumo (27) after accusing her of using magic to make his manhood impotent. He appeared before Mbare magistrate Elijah Makomo facing physical abuse charges before he denied ever laying hands on his dear wife. Tichaona indicated that they only had a minor altercation. However Magistrate Makomo remanded him out of custody on free bail to 26 June for his trial.

Allegations are that on 6 June, at around 7pm, Tichaona arrived home in the company of his girlfriend where he intended to officially introduce her to his official wife. The State alleges that he then introduced his small house to Beauty indicating that he now has a girlfriend.

State counsel Enesio Takambani further alleges that Beauty remained SILENT and Tichaona confronted her accusing her of using juju to 'kill' his sex life with other women except with herself only. Further allegations are that the confrontation did not go down well with Beauty who decided to change the topic and demanded money to buy food for the family since Tichaona was not taking care of the children.

However, Tichaona refused to take care of his responsibility and he became violent and assaulted Beauty using open hands several times all over her body. She did not sustain visible injuries. Beauty reported the matter to the police leading to Tichaona's arrest and subsequent appearance in court.
