A middle aged man identified as Mr Dennis Osanta was Friday evening shot by unidentified gunmen at Ogere-Remo in Ikenne local government area of Ogun state, southwest Nigeria.
Our correspondent gathered that the man was shot with a local pistol and he was rescued by some policemen attached to Quick Response Squad (QRS) in the area.
It was further gathered that the man was coming from Lokoja in Kogi state, north central zone of the country and was heading to Lagos state.
He was shot in his car, a white Toyota Tacoma with registration number ABC 60 XA close to Mallo filling station.
A source from State Police Command, Eleweeran, Abeokuta confirmed the incident to our correspondent, adding that the man has been taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Sagamu.
